In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, we are accepting test scores for the official online GMAT and GRE exams. Tests must be taken before the deadline date of the application round in which you plan to apply.
Score Requirement
There is no minimum GMAT or GRE score requirement for graduate study at Stanford, and we accept students with a wide range of scores. Please see the class profile for the range and average test scores.

All applicants are required to take either the GRE or the GMAT, based on the field of study to which they are applying, regardless of previous experience and/or degrees. The GRE At Home and the GMAT Online exam will be accepted.
GRE and GMAT scores are valid for approximately five years from the date taken. For Fall 2023, we will accept GRE or GMAT scores from exams taken between July 1, 2017-December 1, 2022.

Harvard Business School MBA GMAT/GRE
When submitting your application, you may report the unofficial GMAT or GRE score given on the day of the test for tests taken at GMAT or GRE testing centers, or your official score if you have received it. Every applicant must request that Pearson (for the GMAT) or ETS (for the GRE) send an official score report directly to HBS.
We require you to complete the AWA portion of the exam; however, you do not need the results in order to submit your application. Note: If you took the online version of the GMAT prior to the addition of the AWA section (i.e. before May 20, 2021), we will accept those test scores without the AWA as long as they have not expired.
We accept online versions of the GMAT or GRE. Please plan accordingly as scores from online tests may take time to be received.

Am I required to take the GMAT/GRE?
All applicants, regardless of background, must have taken either the GMAT or the GRE between December 1, 2015 and December 1, 2020 for Fall 2021 enrollment. Official scores must be forwarded to Harvard by ETS.
What is the minimum GRE and GMAT score requirement?
HBS Doctoral Programs does not have a minimum GRE or GMAT requirement. Generally, successful applicants score in the 85th percentile or higher on their standardized tests.

Wharton University of Pennsylvania MBA Program GMAT/GRE
All applicants must submit results of a Graduate Management Admissions Test (GMAT) or a Graduate Record Examination (GRE) that are no more than five years old.
We accept scores from tests taken at a test center or at home/online. All at-home tests are monitored by a human proctor online. Scores may be self-reported; when self-reporting your score(s) in the application please list your highest score first. Should you receive an offer of admission, official scores will then be requested for verification.

Operations, Information & Decisions: OID will not require applicants to submit GMAT / GRE scores this year. We nevertheless encourage candidates to submit these scores, because we think the information the results provide can be valuable. Good GMAT/GRE scores can help compensate for potential weaknesses that we might perceive in other elements of an application. The scores can also provide a useful complement to the academic record of students’ whose transcripts we have more difficulty evaluating.
Statistics: GRE only. The GRE Mathematics Subject Exam is strongly encouraged; however, due to COVID-19, applications without a GRE Mathematics Subject Exam score will also be considered.
